About the project An archive of both houses, fact by fact
The Mapa do Legislativo gathers what the Câmara dos Deputados (Brazil's lower house) and the Senado Federal (Brazil's Senate) record about their members: votes, bills, court cases and statements. Every claim has a source. The goal is to inform, empower and mobilize the people.
What it is
An archive on Congress
The Mapa do Legislativo is an independent journalism project on the two houses of the National Congress. The current focus is the deputies and senators around Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), a senator and candidate in the presidential runoff of October 25, 2026.
The goal is for readers to find in one place, with the sources at hand, what these members did in office and what the courts have on them.
Sources and method
Curation, not automation
The archive grows by curation. Each fact is gathered and checked in the open data and pages of the Câmara and the Senate, in the Diário Oficial (official gazette), in the official vote tallies and in the press, and then recorded by hand with its source.
Legal wording follows the stage of each case: under investigation, indicted by police, charged by prosecutors, defendant and convicted are different situations, and the site uses the one the documents record. A vote belongs to a specific session and roll call, with date, house and tally.
Criticism rests on verifiable facts and on the text of the documents themselves, never on a school of political or economic analysis.
